SME Screw Element

The SME element is a hybrid element with several reverse shallow return grooves on a conventional forward conveying element. When the material is transported, multiple strands of backflow are formed through the many shallow grooves on the spiral edge, and the ability to disperse and distribute is added. This element generates low shear heat, and the SME element has the lowest energy consumption of several screw mixing elements. Selection principle: It is usually placed in the melting section and the extrusion section of the twin-screw, and it is arranged between the 45 ° or 60 ° kneading blocks in the overall low-shear overall pattern of the full-screw to appropriately increase the distribution and dispersion of the melt.
