Mixing Screw Elements for Twin Screw Extruders

SNE supplies high-performance mixing screw elements engineered to enhance material dispersion, melting, and homogenization in twin screw extrusion.
With optimized geometry and precision machining, our mixing elements are ideal for compounding processes involving fillers, additives, pigments, and polymers.
Available in various configurations to match your mixing requirements and improve extrusion efficiency.

Processing characteristics and advantages

  • All screw element materials are checked by metal analyzer to ensure the quality of raw materials;
  • 100% of the internal splines are checked by spline plug gauge to ensure the interchangeability of screw elements;
  • All screw elements are finished by CNC grinding after heating, the shape error is controlled within ±0.015, the kneading block sheet spacing and sheet thickness tolerance are controlled within ±0.03, the length tolerance is controlled within ±0.01, and the surface roughness of the outer shape is ≤Ra0.8, completely eliminating the influence of heat treatment deformation on component quality;
  • Using European HIP process to produce powder high speed steel, and strictly following the customer’s heat treatment process.

Screw Element Material

The screw elements are the core components of the twin screw extruder and are crucial for plastic processing. The design and material of these components directly affect the quality of the plastic products and the efficiency of the entire production line.

Our company will recommend screw elements of different materials according to the process requirements of different customers.

Nitriding steel 38CrMoAla is a high-grade alloy structural steel that is alloyed by adding nitrogen (N) elements to improve its mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.

High-speed tool steel W6Mo5Cr4V2 is an alloy steel commonly used to make high-performance cutting tools and molds.

Excellent corrosion resistance and long-term economic benefits make it the material of choice for many high-end applications.

Stainless steel is an ideal choice for applications that require high corrosion resistance, such as food processing or the chemical industry. It is resistant to erosion by moisture, chemicals and other corrosive factors.

With excellent high temperature performance, corrosion resistance and strength, it is widely used in many industrial fields.

Imported HIP powder metallurgy is an ultra-high corrosion resistance, high wear resistance, high torque, and anti-cracking material that can meet the needs of high-end extruder screw elements.
