Core Shaft & Spline

The main function of the extruder core shaft is to withstand and transmit the high torque generated by the gearbox, while ensuring the normal operation of the two screws under high load conditions. As one of the core components of the twin screw extruder, the performance of the core shaft directly affects the overall operating stability and processing accuracy of the equipment.

Description

Core Shaft

The core shaft needs to have excellent mechanical strength, toughness and rigidity to withstand high torque, high torque and high load conditions. Since the transmission device will transmit huge torque to the core shaft during the operation of the twin screw extruder, the material selection of the core shaft is crucial. Usually, the core shaft material is 40CrNiMo, which has good machinability and hardenability after special treatment, and it is suitable for a variety of complex processing requirements. WR15E and WR30 are high-performance alloy tool steels and high-pressure nitrided iron-based chromium-molybdenum alloys. They have higher mechanical strength and toughness, and can maintain excellent impact resistance and corrosion resistance even at high temperatures, which can further improve the load capacity.
