Double–Flighted Screw Element

At the same center torque, the double-flighted screw element has a deeper groove depth, thus providing a lower shear rate at the same screw speed, which is more suitable for processing powder materials, especially low bulk density powders, glass fiber and other shear sensitive materials. Compared to triple-flighted screw element, double–flighted screw element can work at higher speeds and higher capacity at the same shear stress and torque.
